Über Pollen-Patrouille
Pollen Patrol is a side-scrolling shooter in which nothing gets hurt. Bea the bumblebee flies through the garden puffing clouds of pollen, and the grumpy bugs she hits simply give up and buzz off. Along the way she wakes up wilted flower buds, which burst into bloom when the pollen reaches them.
Each stage is a different part of the garden, Sunny Meadow, Lily Pond, Dusk Orchard and Moonlit Garden, and ends with a boss who announces every attack before making it: Baron Buzz the hornet, Old Croak the toad or Lady Luna the moth. The nectar you collect fills a honey jar, and a full jar is a screen-clearing Honey Burst.
So wird gespielt
- Fly Bea around the left part of the screen. She puffs pollen forwards automatically.
- Shoo bugs for points and catch the nectar drops they leave to fill the honey jar.
- Puff the wilted buds on the ground, and later those hanging from the branches, to make them bloom.
- When the jar is full, fire a Honey Burst. It sweeps away enemy shots, damages every bug on screen and blooms every bud.
- Pop the bug carrying a parcel for a power-up: stronger puffs, a buddy bee, a honey bubble shield or a heart.
- After the waves, beat the stage boss. Blooming every single bud earns a Perfect bloom bonus and a heart.
- Bea has three hearts. Each hit also weakens her puffs by one level and resets the score streak.
Steuerung
- Tastatur
- W A S D or the arrow keys to fly. Space or Enter fires the Honey Burst. With a mouse, move to fly and click for the burst.
- Touch
- Drag to fly. Bea follows your finger. Tap with a second finger to fire the Honey Burst.
Tipps
- Keep moving up and down in smooth sweeps. It covers more of the screen with pollen and dodges aimed shots.
- Dragonflies flash a warning and then dart straight across. Leave their row as soon as you see it.
- Save the Honey Burst for a screen full of shots or for a boss, not for a few stray gnats.
- Popping a whole swarm of gnats earns a Swarm bonus, so go for the last one.
- The honey bubble takes one hit for you and keeps your puffs at full strength. It is the best pick-up in the game.
