Sheepdog Dash

Help Biscuit the sheepdog round up the flock! Run behind the sheep to steer them through the gate into the pen before sunset. Bark to hurry stragglers, get the grumpy ram moving, catch the golden sheep and chase off the sly fox.

About Sheepdog Dash

Sheepdog Dash is a herding game where the flock moves because it wants to get away from you. You play Biscuit, a keen sheepdog, and the sheep keep their distance from wherever you are. Run round behind the flock and it trots forward. Come at it from the side and it turns. Get it wrong and sheep scatter all over the meadow.

Each level gives you a flock, a pen with an open gate and a sun sinking toward the horizon. Later levels add stone walls, ponds, stubborn black rams that push back, a golden-fleeced sheep worth a big bonus, and a sly fox that creeps in to carry sheep away while you are busy elsewhere.

How to play

  1. Run to the far side of the sheep so that they move away from you, toward the pen.
  2. Steer the flock through the gate. A sheep counts as soon as it is inside.
  3. Each level tells you how many sheep you need, for example 6 of 8. Reach that number before sunset to clear it.
  4. Bark to send nearby sheep running straight away from you. It needs a moment to recharge.
  5. Pen sheep quickly one after another to build a multiplier of up to x5. Leftover time and a complete flock earn extra bonuses.
  6. When the fox appears, run at it or bark near it to chase it off. If it is already carrying a sheep, catch it and it will drop it.
  7. Fall short at sunset, or lose too many sheep to the fox, and you lose one of three hearts.

Tips

  • Approach slowly. Sprinting at the flock scares it from further away and splits it apart.
  • Keep the flock between you and the gate, and sweep left and right behind it like a windshield wiper to keep it together.
  • Bark from directly behind for a final push through the gate. A bark from the side sends sheep past it.
  • Rams barely notice you from a distance. Get right up close and nudge them along.
  • The fox goes for the sheep furthest from you, so do not leave stragglers on the far side of the field.
