Sobre A Corrida do Ermitão
Shell Scuttle is a beach adventure about a very small crab with a very big problem: the tide is coming in. Nib the hermit crab has to scuttle up the sand faster than the water rises, and the only armor he owns is the shell on his back.
That shell is the heart of the game. While Nib walks he is exposed, and the moment you let go he tucks inside, safe from diving seagulls and pinching crabs. But every snack makes him grow, and sooner or later the shell is too tight and slow to hide in, and he has to find a bigger one further up the beach: from a periwinkle through turban, whelk, moon shell and conch to the golden conch. The beach runs through five zones, from the Sandy Shore to the Sunset Dunes.
Como jogar
- Hold or drag and Nib walks toward your finger. Head up the beach, away from the water.
- Let go and Nib tucks into his shell. Do this when a seagull circles overhead: a gull that hits the shell bounces off for a Bonk! bonus that grows with each one in a row.
- Eat snacks for points. After enough of them a banner says the shell is too tight. Tucking is then slow, so look for the sparkling bigger shell ahead.
- Moving into a new shell scores a bonus and restores a heart.
- Red crabs pinch unless you are tucked in. Sea urchins hurt either way, and beach balls knock you back toward the sea.
- Open clams sometimes hold a pearl worth 100 points.
- If the tide catches you, or you are hurt, you lose one of three hearts. Each new zone pushes the tide back once, then makes it faster.

- When the shell is tight, give gulls more warning. Tucking takes about three times as long.
- Keep to the middle of the beach so you can dodge either way around rocks and sandcastle walls.
- A bonk streak is worth far more than the snacks you would pick up by running, so stand your ground when a gull dives.
